Multi-award winning SA rapper Kwesta flew to Dakar last week as a representative of South Africa in the 30th Commemoration of The Dakar Conference. Not so long ago the rapper was flying SA flag in the US when he was part of American rapper’s concert T.I and like always he didn’t disappoint.
This commemoration’s aim is to bring change, back in the times of Apartheid it was a platform for only ANC political members to discuss strategies that will bring change in SA.
Kwesta expressed how proud he is to attend such an important commemoration celebration. The ‘Ngud’ hitmaker said that he has the desire to inspire kids from townships to work hard towards their dreams despite all odds.
“Now even a rapper from Katlehong who dropped sways freestyle of the year so far…against the most possible odds can trace back such a feat to the city of Dakar and how it’s shaped the history of South Africa,” he said in an interview with TshisaLive.
