Poet and Muiscian Mzwakhe Mbuli who spent six year in prison on charges of bank robbery in Waverley, Pretoria has been accused by a UNISA student and wanna-be TV star for sexual harassment. The woman spoke to Sunday World and said that Mbuli allegedly touched her on her bosom and private parts. This took place during auditions in Mondeor at a house Mzwakhe claimed to be his.
The woman went on to say that the poet kissed her forcefully against her will, he unbuckled his belt and forced is hands into her pants while they were in his car. The woman wanted to remain anonymous but revealed that she is 20 years old and that the whole incident took place back in May 17.
Mzwakhe was originally sentenced to 13 years in prison, but that was later reduced to 10 years by the Court of Appeals in Bloemfontein. Not so long ago Mbuli was also accused for being a ‘scamster’. Power FM presenter Thabiso mentioned in a series of tweets that Mbuli “scammed” late kwaito star Mandoza’s family in the run-up to his funeral last year. Mbuli took legal actions to have his name cleared.
In all of the claims aforementioned, robbery, scamming and sexual assault, Mbuli still pleads his innocence.
