Mr Forbes welcomed the year 2018 with two of the biggest songs that have been causing sweet fire amongst fans the way they lit. He is a great success no doubt but when he dropped these two singles he just took things to much greater heights. And this was just the beginning.

2.Babes Wodumo & Sjava featured in the soundtrack album of Black Panther

Giving SA a chance to be part of something huge, Babes Wodumo and Sjava were announced as South African acts that will be part of the soundtrack list of the biggest film set to air this month Black Panther. The list of these songs were compiled by rapper & producer Kendrick Lamar.

3.Ladysmith Black Mambazo Winning A 5th Grammy

Isicathamiya legends bagged a 5th Grammy Award this year as usual their achievement was of a nation’s too. They’ve represented SA so proudly across the world in result they have landed gigs to perform in big concerts & celebrations one of them a performance at the birthday’s Royal Queen Elizabeth in England.

4.Black Coffee’s international achievements


Black Coffee has done so much and achieved so much in the period he has spent overseas as both a DJ and a businessman. This year he will be returning to his residency in Hï Ibiza. He also landed another residency at Wynn nightclub in Las Vegas.  After scoring a gig at Coachella and setting tour dates for around the world, he announced that he would be jetting back to the world’s party capital in May.

5.Dj Maphorisa’s Particula reaching 20 Million views on YouTube

It’s unlikely for a music video to reach over 20 Million views in SA but this time around as usual Maphorisa reached success with Particula and reached 20 Million views. The song features Major Lazer, Nasty C, Ice Prince, Patoranking and Jidenna.
