DJ Maphorisa Breaks His Silence On The Allegations That He Is Capitalising On Kabza’s Fame – DJ Maphorisa has been the talk of the town in the recent months for his new grown love for the Amapiano sound.
This comes to light due to his collaboration with the King of Amapiano Kabza da small. DJ Maphorisa and Kabaza De Small released an EP and it’s titled Scorpion Kings following their single dropping.
DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small had their fans, tossing and turning, estimating on what they are producing together for the longest time, they then took the liberty to break the ice when they released Scorpion Kings song.
The EP houses a few tracks that were featured in the Mix Kabza De Small dropped in late April. Scorpion Kings EP is a mixture of sounds that are laid back as well as party tunes.
I mean we all know how black Twitter can be, there is always someone dragged for doing something, in this case, DJMaphorisa was CONDEMNED on social media accused of “capitalising” on Kabza’s rising prominence in the music scene, labelled as an opportunist.
Well, he did not take that lightly, and he ushered to social media to set the record straight to Tweeps, following keeping silence on the matter.
“Everyone wants a piece of Scorpion Kings. Haters want it down on platforms. Guys are jealous (of me) saying I am using Kabza. Why all this hate while everyone loves this project? Since Kabza started working with me has he ever missed a gig? So we don’t deserve it?” the DJ asked.
He highlighted that numerous individuals can attest that DJ Maphorisa has the hands of Gold, he made it clear, shared how he perceives himself, and he will not allow anyone to stands in his shine, He put it out there that he is a genius. So, allegations that he is an opportunist to a rising star is not his cup of tea.
“DJs hate me, that’s cool because I’m a jack of all trades,” he said.
Well, you might wonder what came of the speculations or rather what ignited such an eruption. The predicament is that social media users to question Maphorisa’s motives based on a narrative that was reported on Sowetan Live, Kabza’s accused of violating his contract for the second time when he collaborated and released an EP with DJ Maphorisa in the year 2019.
